LEATHER TYPE - WHICH TO CHOOSE

Cow hide: Strong and durable / slightly heavier than kangaroo

Higher abrasion resistance when compared to kangaroo leather.

Recommended for the rider that wants a strong versatile suit or jacket that would provide efficient abrasion resistance. This has higher wear resistance when used in multiple impacts.

Kangaroo hide: Strong and lightweight / 1.5kg+ weight saving compared to cow leather.

Softer feel and quicker break in time.

Kangaroo hide has a higher tensile strength compared to cow hide. This means tear resistance on impact, however, this hide does not have the same abrasion resistance as cow hide, which means a hole or opening will form much quicker during an incident.

Recommended for the rider that wants or requires a lighter suit for comfort or performance preferences. Note that this leather will need to be cleaned more often to remain soft and flexible and to retain it's strength.

GLOVES LEATHER TYPE

Cow hide: Longer lasting / Less initial feel before break in on the levers.

Kangaroo hide: More feeling on the controls / increased comfort.

HOW DOES CUSTOM SIZING WORK?

Mass suits are constructed on a made-to-measure basis. Which is done by means of submitting measurements required via our measurement guide and your garment will be made by patterns cut to your custom measurements submitted.

Please note the difference between made-to-measure fitment and tailor-made fitment.

Made-to-measure: Your custom measurements with our custom patterns, the fitment is made to the Mass Custom specification. The fitment in certain areas such as between the ankle bone and calve, the wrist bone and forearm. This area is meant to have spacing and may not be a tapered fit.

New riders: Note that there may be an imitation of loose material behind the the thigh area, this will tighten when in the riding position. Tightening this will restrict movement greatly.
